This real estate market report is for the City of Dayton for October, but most specifically areas in the Multiple Listing Service that are served by Dayton Public Schools. I’ve broken the market reports into school districts because that is a very typical determining factor for buyers. I should also add that this represents single family residences only.

Information has been culled, by me, from the Dayton Area Board of Realtors Multiple Listing Service, and should be considered a general snapshot, rather than exact numbers. Reporting inaccuracies will occur, but this is a good way to get a sense of what is happening. There are neighborhoods where the average sale price will vary wildly from this, so contact me for details about your specific neighborhood.

I’d be happy to discuss this in detail with you, just give me a call, 937.478.7781, or an email, Teri(at)TheBrickRanch.com, and let’s talk!

    Teri,

The average home in Dayton is in the $30ks? Incredible! It’s time for the local media to shout this from the rooftops, so that those in California, who can no longer afford to live there, will relocate their businesses to the Dayton area and scoop up these bargains. Amazing!

    Hi Vance!

Just to be clear: This is for a very specific area within the city of Dayton. If you take all the outer lying areas combined, it’s closer to $126k. Which is still a bargain, compared to CA, but not quite the bargain that $31k might have you think.

Even at $126k, Dayton seems a bargain. Rust belt? No way! More like “bargain home” belt.
